Beautifying Your Abode

Putting your pet’s portrait above your towel rails - A very bad move

As well as most animal lovers keeping photographs of their pet, many dog or cat keepers tend to employ the services of portrait artists too. Having a picture painted of your four legged friend is something that is becoming increasingly popular in the UK. However, anyone that puts one of these impressions above a source of heat such as rails designed to keep towels warm is making a big mistake. Even if you have the portrait laminated, it is still likely to become irreparably damaged when exposed to heat for long periods of time. Most homeowners are already aware of the dangers of leaving anything on top of their radiators for lengthy periods. Using well made and eye-catching towel rails for anything else than what they were designed for could result in you regretting such a decision.

One reason why so many pet owners have a portrait painted of their furry friend is because of the uniqueness of such products. Animal lovers that have lots of photographs of their pet should think about which photo they will use to have a portrait completed of their cat or dog. Getting a human to stay perfectly still for an hour or so is difficult enough for a portrait artist. If you decide to put a portrait of your dog above a radiator or similar product, you will have to go through the whole process again. The only thing that should be anywhere near a rail for towels is what you use to dry yourself with.
